Later we went to the Palace of Aliaferia, which was
Muslim & Christian at different times, added on to over the ages.

Here we are arriving, a hike up from where the bus had to stop. It was a heart-pounding ride with stunning views twisting up the mountain roads.

Fr Jim's Birthday

The travelers gave him a cake & chipped in to give him a special "Year of Mercy" stole.
Pictures taken in the dining room of our hotel in Lourdes.

We visited the family home of Ignatius of Loyola, where he returned to recuperate after being wounded & took to reading the lives of Jesus & the saints. Our guide Jesus taught us a lot.

Fr. Jim said Mass in the Conversion Chapel.
